Responsibilities of the board
The board of a registered association is responsible for all organisational and legal matters. This includes club finances, membership management, cooperation with associations and the strategic direction of the club.
Voluntary work
Like most youth sports clubs in Germany, the board of the Potsdam Bay Pirates works on a voluntary basis. Without volunteers, grassroots sport at this level would not be possible.
Memberships & Associations
Since 1 September 2026, the Potsdam Bay Pirates have been an official member of the Stadtsportbund Potsdam e.V. — the association of Potsdam sports clubs. This makes us part of the city's organized sports community and gives our coaches access to funding programs and training courses. We are also a member of the Landessportbund Brandenburg e.V. (state sports federation, LSB no. 540252). Joining the American Football Verband Berlin-Brandenburg (AFCVBB) for league play is planned.
